This landmark publication features 40 objects from the Museum’s collection and uses them to chart the history of the Dale via their associations with archaeology, education, industry, and the local community. It also gives an insight into the creation of the Museum and includes tales from the stewards, school groups and visitors who are part of its present life. The book is illustrated by 100 photographs from the Museum’s collection and others specially commissioned.
