Donation of items to the Museum
We know that many of you have items connected with Nidderdale that you think would be of interest, and we are generally happy to look at these and decide if we are able to accept them. However, we do have a Collections Policy, and do not have unlimited space, so we will not be able to accept everything that is offered.
Moratorium on Object Entry
In the last 18 months the Museum has been offered a considerable number of items for possible inclusion in the collections. Following the pandemic, we are still working with a reduced number of volunteers. The Collections Team have therefore requested a 3-month moratorium (Jan-March 2022) on accepting items for evaluation so as to be able to deal with the backlog.
Whilst we will not accept objects on deposit during this period, if you have items you wish to offer to the Museum please leave contact details, and a brief description of the object (s) and we shall contact you when normal patterns have resumed.
Thank you for your understanding.
