Nidderdale Museum has been recognised by a national project highlighting the best heritage centres in the UK.

Mapping Museums is a four-year project that will produce the first authoritative database of museums that have opened since 1960, shedding light on independent treasures and hidden gems that even local people may be unaware of.

The researcher interviewed Eileen Burgess, one of the Museum’s founders, and the results can be seen on his blog.
