Immerse yourself in the experience and e guarantee you’ll find something you
remember from your own past!

Interested in researching the history of your family or Nidderdale home?  Monthly sessions are now being arranged for you to do this, with help.

You can also become a member of the Nidderdale Museum Society and enjoy free entry for a year and local talks.  Click here to find out how to become a member

The Museum is a fully accredited Museum with 11 separate rooms packed full of items and photos related to Leisure, Agriculture, Industry, Religion, Transport, Costume, plus an original Cobblers Shop, a Victorian Parlour room set, General Store, Schoolroom and much more.  There is a wide range of displays of items in use in Nidderdale over the past 150 years, and a video telling the story of the building of the reservoirs in the Dale, running continuously in the Film Room.
The Museum is a fantastic source of information and inspiration on local history
and an ideal activity for tourists and school groups.

The Museum is operated entirely by volunteers who are passionate about Nidderdale’s heritage, so why not come along and see what is here? Cost per adult is £5 and accompanied children are free. We hope to see you very soon. We aim to keep to the published opening schedule there could be times when it is not possible as volunteers are unavailable.

On 1st April 2022, the Museum changed its governance and is now Nidderdale Museum Society CIO  (Charitable Incorporated Organisation). It means that the Society is now a legal entity and there is reduced liability for the trustees.

You can now support the Museum by making a donation online using this button.
Nidderdale Museum Society CIO is registered charity number 1197116.
