St Cuthbert’s School Mosaic

Various members of the Museum Society helped conduct a Heritage Walk with a group of children from the school. They learnt about the Pillars Past sculpture, the railway, the recreation ground, the War Memorial, the Oldest Sweetshop and then created their own drawings of them. Ruth Wilkinson, a local mosaic artist, then worked her magic to create a stunning mosaic which has now been installed above one of the entrances to the school.
